Whether your child is building confidence in the water, developing technique, or preparing for more advanced swimming, our 1:1 lessons provide a calm and supportive environment tailored to their needs.</p>

<p class="font_8">Lessons are available across carefully selected pools in the Falkirk area, giving families access to flexible private coaching with experienced in water teachers. Each session is personalised to the swimmer’s ability, pace and goals, helping them progress with confidence while enjoying their time in the water.</p>

Whether your swimmer is just starting out, building confidence, or working towards advanced technique, our private coaching sessions are designed around individual progress and support.
Our experienced coaches work with swimmers of all ages and abilities, helping children and adults develop confidence, improve stroke technique, and progress at a pace that suits them. Every session is tailored to the swimmer’s current ability, goals, and learning style.

Male & Female Instructors

We understand that comfort and confidence in the water can make a big difference, which is why we offer the option of both male and female instructors where available.
If you or your swimmer would feel more comfortable with a particular instructor, just let us know and we’ll always do our best to accommodate this. As swimmers grow in confidence and progress, we can also review instructor matches to make sure the experience continues to feel right for them.

Private swimming lessons offer a more personalised approach to learning, with each session tailored around the swimmer’s confidence, ability and goals. With dedicated support from an experienced teacher throughout the lesson, many swimmers find they progress more comfortably and build confidence faster than in a group environment.

Founded in 2013, Stepping Stones Swimming has grown to become one of Scotland’s leading independent swim schools, with thousands of swimmers coming through our lessons each week across Central Scotland and Aberdeen.
Our experienced team delivers both small group lessons and tailored 1:1 coaching, operating from a range of trusted health clubs, schools and local community facilities. We focus on creating supportive, structured lessons that help swimmers build confidence, develop strong technique and enjoy their time in the water.

Safeguarding is a key part of how we operate. All teaching staff complete safeguarding training and enhanced background checks before working within the programme. We maintain clear safeguarding procedures, staff oversight and venue standards to help provide a safe and supportive environment for every swimmer and family attending lessons.

Stepping Stones operates with full public liability and employer liability insurance in place across our programme. This provides important protection for swimmers, families, staff and venues while reflecting the professionalism and responsibility expected from a well established swim school operator.
