Stepping Stones Crèche

 

Terms and Conditions

 

These terms apply to all bookings within the Stepping Stones Crèche. By booking a session, parents and guardians agree to the following conditions.

1. Eligibility

 

 

• The crèche is available for children aged 6 weeks to 8 years.

• Children do not need to be toilet trained.

• Parents must provide nappies, wipes, and any required changing supplies.

• Parents do not need to remain on site, however a valid contact number must be left with staff at drop off.

​

 

 

 

 

2. Booking and Payment

 

 

• Sessions can be booked online or in person.

• Pay as you go and block booking options are available.

• All payments must be made in advance of the booked session.

• A minimum booking of 1 hour applies.

• The maximum booking per session is 2 hours.

 

 

 

Cancellations and Refunds

 

 

• A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for cancellations.

• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours.

• Missed sessions are non refundable and cannot be transferred.

3. Arrival and Collection

 

 

• Children should arrive at the start time of their booked session.

• Parents and guardians must collect children promptly.

• Late collection may place the crèche over staffing ratio and should be avoided.

• If a different person is collecting, this must be authorised at drop off.

• We will not release a child unless collection has been pre authorised.

4. Staffing and Ratios

 

 

• Children under 2 years: 1 adult to 3 children

• Children aged 2 years and over: 1 adult to 5 children

• All staff hold a minimum SCQF Level 6 qualification in childcare or an equivalent recognised qualification.

• All staff are fully PVG registered through Disclosure Scotland.

• Full policies and procedures are held within the crèche.

5. Health and Illness

 

 

• Children must not attend if unwell or contagious.

• In line with infection control guidance:

   

  • Vomiting or diarrhoea requires a 48 hour exclusion period.

   

• Allergies and medical conditions must be disclosed at registration.

• Medication procedures are outlined within the crèche policy.

• Parents consent to emergency first aid treatment where required.

6. Personal Belongings

 

 

• All personal items should be clearly labelled.

• Stepping Stones cannot accept responsibility for lost items.

• Small items that present a choking hazard may not be permitted within the crèche.

7. Food and Drink

 

 

• All food and drink must be provided by the family.

• The crèche operates a strict no nut policy.

​

 

 

 

 

8. Safeguarding

 

 

• Stepping Stones operates in line with national safeguarding guidance.

• Any concerns regarding child welfare will be managed in accordance with our safeguarding procedures.

• Cameras and recording devices are not permitted within the crèche without authorisation.

9. Data Protection

 

 

• Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Insurance and Liability

 

 

• Stepping Stones holds appropriate public liability insurance.

• While every reasonable care is taken, parents remain responsible for providing accurate medical and emergency contact information.

11. Amendments

 

 

• Stepping Stones reserves the right to amend these terms where necessary.

• We reserve the right to withdraw a place if these terms are not adhered to.
