Absence Policy Overview
At Stepping Stone, our absence policy ensures smooth operation and consistency in teaching delivery. All teachers are considered employees and receive their annual work schedule in advance, which is set for term time. Teachers agree delivery hours in advance and are placed appropriatly based on their designated roles within our three-tier structure:
Venue Lead - Swimming Teacher
Class Lead - Swimming Teacher
Support Teacher
The absence policy has been set as 3 absences within 3 months. Absences in excess of this will result in the absence policy being triggered. If the absence policy is triggered the teacher in question will be invited in for a return to work interview.
The basis of this interview is asses the suitability of the role and to ensure that the workload, expectations and commitment requirements for this role matches those expectations of the individual.
During the interview there will be a fair, open and supportive conversation to ensure the individual is comfortable in returning to their current role.
