First Visit

Arriving at the venue, the community entrance is located within the car park to the side of the building. The community entrance is a blue fire door which is usually wedged open. The main school entrance may appear closed this is normal for weekend lessons.

Head into the school to the cafe area, take a left along the botanical corridor and you will see the pool located to your left along the corridor.

Changing Rooms:  The changing rooms are open and available to use before and after you lessons. The changing room setup is male & female please use the corresponding changing rooms for the accompanying adult not the child.

Identifying your teacher: When attending for your first lesson please notify the class teacher that it is your first visit to the lessons. This will help the class teacher locate you on the class list.

Spectating & Viewing

Spectating is permitted within Leith Academy. The viewing is poolside and can become hot. The viewing gallery can become very busy, please be mindful of other users when using the viewing gallery.

Arriving for your lessons: Beach Ready

During the pandemic swimmers were asked to arrive "beach ready" for their lessons. This basically means arriving with swim kit on beneath their regular clothing. For many this has continued as it is a quick and easy way for the children to get changed before their lessons. This means as a parent you can head directly to the viewing gallery allow your swimmer to prepare before the lesson without the need to visit the changing rooms.

If this works for you we would encourage you to continue doing this, it helps reduce the pressure on the changing areas and allows swimmers exiting the pool space in the changing areas.

Filming & Photography

Please note we have a strict no photography and filming policy. Please do not use your mobile phone to take pictures or record the lessons. Failure to do so may result in your membership being cancelled.
